Ecuador - 11.29.24 - 12.6.24

This was my 2nd trip to Ecuador. Last year I travelled the northern part of the country, including Quito, the capital. This year we were in the southern part, in Guayaquil and the surrounding areas. This area is much hotter than the mountains in the north - every day was near 95 degrees. Due to a prolonged drought, there were power outages every day, since Ecuador's primary source of electricity is hydro.

We visited Cuenca, Ince Pirca, toured the Catedral de la Immaculada Concepcion, the Plaza de la Flores, Catedral de la Guayaquil, walked the 440 steps up to the lighthouse in Guayaquil.
